American born artist Reem Hussein holds a BFA in Interior Design and Objects Restoration from FIT in New York. She has exhibited her artwork throughout the United States as well as abroad. Reem has been invited to exhibit and discuss her work in many US colleges and universities such as Yale, Columbia, New York, Hofstra, Rutgers Universities, and the University of Pennsylvania. Reem has spent much time introducing the art of Middle Eastern and Islamic cultures through workshops for students and teachers, as well as adult lectures sponsored by the local non-profit organizations Long Island Traditions and the Huntington Arts Council. Reems career accomplishments, and artwork were profiled in two documentaries, and have been featured in articles for publications including Newsday and the Chicago Sun Times. More recently, her paintings have been selected by the Art in Embassies Program and exhibited in American embassies located in Egypt and Malaysia. She currently lives and works in New York, where she is a MFA candidate in LIUs C.W.Post Campus.
